Welcome

The College of Business China program is offered in Chengdu, capital of the Sichuan Province located in south-western China. Chengdu has a reputation as a very "laid-back"city that emphasizes culture and relaxation.

This spring semester program gives WSU business students an opportunity to take a variety of business classes alongside Chinese students from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE). Field trips to marketing and manufacturing facilities will enable students to expand their understanding of business practices in China, the world's third largest economy.

In Chengdu, students can enjoy authentic world-know Sichuan cuisine and Sichuan opera.  A favorite of visitors is the Panda Research Base.  Other popular day drips include a tram-ride up Emeishan and visits to the Giant Buddha at Leshan and the Bronze Age (circa 2800 to 800 B.C.) archeological site of Sanxingdui.  Chengdu also provides convenient access for weekend excursions to tourist destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Guangzhou and Jiuzhaigou nature reserve.
