MIS Post-Doctoral Fellow:

Christopher Scott
Christopher Scott is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Idaho, and a Ph.D. in MIS from WSU.  His research interests include media perceptions and their effects on communication effectiveness, innovation and creativity, and IT project escalation. Dr. Scott’s research has been presented at the America’s Conference on Information Systems, and has won teh Best Paper award at the pre-ICIS SIGHCI Workshop.


Senior Doctoral Students:

Anna L. McNab
Anna L. McNab is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. She earned an MBA from Washington State University. Her research interests include human-computer interactions in information retrieval context, user acceptance of information systems, motivations of joining online communities and examination of methods used in IS research. Her research has appeared in the proceedings of the Americas Conference on Information Systems.

Ronald E. Pike
Ronald E. Pike is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He earned an MBA at California State University, Chico, and has seventeen years of industry experience in telecommunications as well as five years of teaching experience. His research focuses on the development of attributions such as trust and privacy in computer-mediated communication environments with a focus on virtual worlds, and has appeared in poster sessions and lectures as well as a peer-reviewed book chapter on developing trust in virtual teams.

Ryan Wright
Ryan Wright is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He holds both a MBA and a BS in MIS from The University of Montana. His research interests include human-computer interaction (HCI), and e-business strategy issues. His research has been broadly published including in the Communications of the AIS, Group Decision and Negotiation and the Journal of eCommerce Research. Also, Ryan has won university and college-wide awards in recognition of his classroom excellence. His professional experience includes tenure as CTO of a successful technology startup, time in management at Amoco Oil (now BP Amoco), and consulting projects for the US Department of Commerce.


Third Year Doctoral Students:

K. Asli Basoglu
K. Asli Basoglu is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. She earned an M.A. from the University of Virginia and a B.A. from Bilkent University. Her research interests include e-commerce, human-computer interaction in decision-making context, and information systems productivity.

Yanjun Yu
Yanjun Yu is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. She received her M.S. in Management and Information Technology from California State University Monterey Bay, and a B.A. in Business English from Zhengzhou University, China. Her research interests include IT Innovation, Cross-Culture study, and Human-Computer Interaction.

Second Year Doctoral Students:

Avimanyu (Avi) Datta 
Avimanyu (Avi) Datta is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London, U.K., and a master’s degree in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University. He has presented at AMCIS and the Southern Management Association. His research interest focus on understanding the strategic use of IS and its transformational capabilities in altering industrial structures and boundaries, as well as IT mediated commercialization of innovations and firm performance.

Darin Ladd
Darin Ladd is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He earned a master’s degree in Information Resources Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Humanities (Philosophy minor) from the USAF Academy. His research on Mobile Technology, Knowledge Management, and Technology Transfer has been presented at the Academy of Management, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, and the Americas Conference on Information Systems.

First Year Doctoral Students:

Phil Longstreet
Phil Longstreet is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He earned an MBA from Idaho State University, and bachelor's degrees in Information Systems and Productions/Operations Management from the University of Idaho. His research interests include human-computer interaction, IT innovation, and barriers to IT adoption.

Fengchun Tang
Fengchun Tang is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He earned his M.S. in Management Information System from Oklahoma State University and a B.E. in Economic Information Management in University of International Business & Economics, Beijing. His primary research interest is Knowledge Management.

Xuequn (Alex) Wang
Xuequn (Alex) Wang is a doctoral student in the Department of Information Systems at Washington State University. He received his M.S. in Management Information System from Oklahoma State University and a B.E. in Computer Science and Computer Application from Civil Aviation University of China. His research interests include Knowledge Management and Human-Computer Interaction.
