Understanding our global economy, competing in rapidly changing international markets, and developing the skills for productive careers in a changing environment, are the goals of International Business.
For more than twenty five years the College of Business has had an International Business major ranked among the very best in the country. This year we are ranked 18th by U.S. News and World Report.
Building upon this foundation the College has embarked on a serious commitment to develop international experiences and skills for students in all majors. This commitment is reflected in the revision of our core curriculum to require an international experience of all of our students.
Internships and international development projects, conducted under the guidance of a faculty mentor provide practical experience to complement classroom learning. Life changing study abroad opportunities challenge students to push their limits and grow.
Our faculty are key. Fully 75% have experience working, traveling, teaching, and doing research in the international arena. This background gives life and richness to learning in the classroom. The IBUS Fellows, a group of outstanding faculty members from all units in the College, continue to contribute significantly toward accomplishing our vision.
Students graduating from the College in International Business, and all majors, will have the broad background and crucial skill to take on the challenges of today's business environment.
