Students have multiple opportunities to enhance their organizational, leadership, service and networking skills through the Carson Center. Programs offered include the Keys 4 Success, the Boeing Mentor Program (BMP), and the Business Club Council (BCC). Students are also encouraged to join academic clubs, as well as Students in Free Enterprise and business fraternities, and take advantage of many other involvement opportunities. In addition, the Center encourages students to seek leadership positions, participate in civic engagement activities and network with faculty, alumni, and employers.
Business Clubs and Organizations
There are an array of business-related clubs and organizations at WSU for students to get involved with. Participation in clubs provides students with unique and valuable leadership and professional development opportunities. For a list of clubs and organizations, click here.
Business Club Council (BCC)
Presidents from business clubs and organizations meet several times a semester with college and university leaders to learn about programs and resources. They also discuss relevant business topics with company representatives and learn about exciting employment opportunities.
Business Club Case Competition (BC3)
Representatives from business clubs enhance their business skills by strategizing creative solutions to comprehensive business cases and presenting their innovative ideas to judges. The competition fosters leadership, teamwork, and “out of the box” thinking. It also offers a professional venue for students to exhibit top notch presentation skills.
Boeing Mentor Program (BMP)
Business students are connected with WSU alumni who work for The Boeing Company. Mentors share career knowledge and work experiences which allow students to grow beyond the traditional limits of the classroom and build their professional networks. 2009 Application

Community Service and Civic Engagement
Students are encouraged to participate in community service. Through volunteering and being engaged in the community, students can gain valuable work-related skills and expand their realm of experience.
