WSU Business Professor Appointed Senior Editor for Prominent Information Systems Journal
PULLMAN, Wash. – The Department of Information Systems in the Washington State University College of Business has recently announced that Professor Joseph S. Valacich has been appointed as a senior editor for Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ). As one of the premier journals for the discipline of Information Systems, MISQ is in many respects considered the flagship journal for the field. Valacich will be one of 15 senior editors for the publication.
Valacich, the George and Carolyn Hubman Distinguished Professor in Management Information Systems, joined WSU in 1996. He received his Ph.D. in Business, MIS, and Operations Management from the University of Arizona in 1989 and his MBA (1983) and Bachelor of Arts (1982, Computer Science) from the University of Montana.
MIS Quarterly is a peer reviewed scholarly journal. The editorial objective of the is the enhancement and communication of knowledge concerning the development of IT-based services, the management of information technology resources, and the economics and use of information technology with managerial and organizational implications.
