$3 million for an Endowed Directorship
Funding will help attract and retain an academic leader with a proven track record of academic excellence and the vision
to keep SHBM on the leading edge of the hospitality industry.
$1 million for faculty professorships and fellowships
First-rate faculty are essential to the College’s pursuit of excellence. Funding for professorships
and fellowships enables the College to recruit and retain the world-class teachers and researchers who will
continue the program’s legacy of excellence.
$500,000 for scholarships
With increasing numbers of high-achieving students and rising tuition costs, scholarships are needed to
recruit and retain the brightest students. Scholarships are used to aid recruitment of new students as well
as to support current HBM majors.
$6 million for new equipment and facilities renovation
World-class programs depend on exceptional learning environments that support the delivery of innovative,
real-world instruction. The SHBM is planning a 25,000 square foot space that
will house classrooms, a kitchen lab, a wine lab, student breakout rooms, and a faculty dining facility. Concept
renderings and naming opportunities for this project are now underway.
The School of Hospitality Business Management at
WSU has had a significant impact on the hospitality industry through its history of
successful graduates, faculty excellence, and productive corporate partnerships.
As it enters its 75th year, the School must build upon its great past, and involve
all alumni in helping to ensure the School‘s future success.
